THINK you can't meditate?

Too many thoughts? You're doing it right!

Whether you’re a seasoned meditation practitioner or just beginning your journey, several meditation classes are available.

Guided Meditation uses verbal instructions to set intentions, aid in visualization or to help facilitate the release of tension and promote a sense of calm. This technique requires active listening to verbal instructions which hold your attention at the level of the mind and intellect.

Primordial Sound Meditation, (similar to Transcendental Meditation), is a technique that allows your focus and attention to withdraw from the active thinking process helping to settle into quieter more peaceful levels of the mind.

"If I can do this, anyone can. As someone new to meditation, I found the Primordial Sound Meditation (PSM) class with ReBecca to be detailed yet easy. I believe that any chance you get to have a new tool in your tool box to cope with life, is a gift. On stressful days at work, I now have a different level of calmness whether it's navigating busy roads or handling demanding customers. PSM has been easy to integrate into my routine and it equips me with skills to tackle stress with ease. Meditation can seem out-of-the-box for those who are new to it, but ReBecca's passion, knowledge, engaging teaching style and welcoming environment, made the class informative, fun, and engaging."

  • Primordial Sound Meditation

Despite the word “sound’ in the title, this is a silent effortless practice.

Primordial Sound Meditation, or PSM, is a healing practice, similar toTranscendental Meditation, that allows us to experience inner calm and deep relaxation. For thousands of years, people have used meditation to move beyond the mind's busy activity and emotional turbulence into profound peace and expanded awareness.

ReBecca is a certified instructor through the Chopra Center and studied under Deepak Chopra, Roger Gabriel, Sheila Patel, and Manjula Nadarajah. She teaches students the personal practice of this ancient method of “sound” meditation, available in a format that’s easy to learn and effortless to practice.

When you learn Primordial Sound Meditation, you will receive a personal mantra. A mantra is a specific sound or vibration—which when repeated silently—helps you to enter deeper levels of awareness that takes you into quieter, more peaceful levels of the mind.

    ❤︎

The mantra you will receive is the vibration the universe was creating at the time and place of your birth, and it is calculated following Vedic mathematic formulas.

    ❤︎

When you silently repeat your mantra in PS meditation, it creates a vibration that helps you slip into the space between your thoughts, into the complete silence that is sometimes referred to as "the gap." Your mind is no longer caught up in its noisy internal chatter and is instead exposed to its own deepest nature: pure awareness.

  • Qigong

Qigong (pronounced ‘Chee - Gung’) is often translated as “The art of cultivating vital energy.”

It’s an effective eastern movement practice that supports good mental, physical, and spiritual health by coordinating the breath with slow, deliberate movements that engage the focussed mind.

It includes flowing movements, simple and potent meditations, and visualizations for healing.

Certain types of qigong are easier and more accessible than yoga, for people with limited mobility, and the practice does not require props or a mat. It can be practiced outdoors or indoors, standing or seated.

Is Tai chi like qigong? “Qigong, tai chi, and yoga share many common features due to their focus on breath, posture, and movement. Tai chi originated as an ancient martial art, but over the years it has become more focused on health promotion and rehabilitation. When tai chi is performed for health, it is considered a form of qigong and involves integrated physical postures, focused attention, and controlled breathing. Tai chi is one of the hundreds of forms of qigong exercises that was developed in China.”

    General Expectations:

When classes are posted, please read the individual class description.

Class option I: Beginner qigong practice. For these classes, no “equipment” needed. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water.

Class option II: A blend of yoga stretching and qigong movements. A yoga mat and blocks are helpful. Also, bring a bottle of water and maybe a blanket.

Liverpool, NY studio to open 2025. Currently teaching at “pop-up” locations and regularly at Champions Fitness Center in Cicero, NY.

  • Guided Meditation

Thoughts, thoughts, and more thoughts. It's ok, really! Your brain is a little computer and its job is to think.

This technique invites your thoughts to flow freely, if you like, and you'll be amazed by what unfolds when you give them this freedom.

Did you know, your body already knows how to meditate? It’s part of your built-in healing abilities.

The guided meditation classes that ReBecca offers is based on the Instinctive Meditation® approach, which uses only common-sense language to guide you through this natural, healing, and restorative technique. With practice, you will learn how to easily incorporate meditation into your daily life, no matter how busy or chaotic it may seem.

The practices are sensible and sensory, and have to do with welcoming your internal guidance. Some guided meditations may invite you to visualize accomplishing a goal, some may help set intentions, all will come with the benefit of releasing stress and welcoming in deep relaxation. You will experience a meditation technique that feels as natural as breathing. It’s a chance to rest deeply, release tension, and emerge refreshed after a few minutes. This approach to meditation is grounded in the ancient yoga tradition and in the last 50 years of scientific research on the physiology of meditation.

ReBecca writes and composes each guided meditation based on her education from the in-depth teacher training program under Lorin Roche and Camille Maurine and their Instinctive Meditation® approach.

    General Expectations:

Each guided meditation class begins with breath awareness and techniques to release unwanted tension and energy from the body. Soft ambient music plays in the background while ReBecca enriches the sessions with the soothing tones of sound bowls. She often incorporates a mix of crystal quartz sound bowls to elevate your meditative experience. This unique combination influences our physical body, chakras (energy centers), and brain, enhancing the overall effect. The sound bowls produce a range of frequencies, creating acoustic healing vibrations that blend with crystal healing. Known as sound therapy, sound baths, or sound journeys, this practice fosters relaxation and well-being.

When classes are posted, details will follow about the theme for each class.

It’s common for the body to cool down during meditation, dress in layers, bring a blanket and pillow or bolster for body support and comfort, if you like. A bottle of water is also recommended.

Private or group classes available. Ask ReBecca and email: omlovelove.hello@gmail.com

Liverpool, NY studio to open 2025.

  • Breath Training

You can survive for weeks without food, days without water, but only a few minutes without breathing. The simple act of breathing has a profound and immediate impact on both your mind and body. Each breath—whether inhaling or exhaling—affects your nervous system in unique ways. While many people focus on diet, exercise, and hydration, breath training is often overlooked, despite its significant health benefits.

The measurable health benefits of breathing exercises are well documented and extremely reproducible. This means that you can experience profound results.

    General Expectations:

Learn 10 breathing practices during live classes accompanied by additional guidance via pre-recorded video instruction for daily at home practice. You’ll gain understanding of three overall techniques along with when and why to use them.

Technique I: Reduced rate breathing can stimulate a rest and digest, parasympathetic nervous system state to help with sleep, stress, and anxiety.

Technique II: Rapid, pulsed breathing stimulates a sympathetic nervous system response to increase energy, prepare for exercise, or boost the body’s natural defenses.

Technique III: Diaphragmatic breathing massages the vagus nerve and reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and reduces stress.

Experience the benefits of proper breathing:

    Stress relief

    Nervous system balance

    Mood stabilization

    Better sleep

    Improved digestion

    Ability to self-soothe at will

ReBecca trained with YOGABODY Teachers College.

Liverpool, NY studio to open 2025.

  • Stretching for True Flexibility

If you have stiff hamstrings, tight hips, or a locked-up spine, the Science of Stretching® approach to flexibility training can effectively and systematically create more space in the body you live in. This unique methodology has helped many increase mobility, reduce pain and injuries and also help you:

Relieve back, neck and shoulder pain

Learn to move like a younger version of yourself

Protect and care for your joints

    Build long, strong supporting tissues

Enjoy the sports and activities you love

Feel the youthful freedom of a flexible body

Learn to palm the floor in a forward bend

Squat bum to heels without discomfort

Interlace your hands behind your back with straight arms

Sit school-style with your knees on the floor

ReBecca trained with YOGABODY Teachers College and their approach to stretching the body is different. There are hundreds of stretching books and mobility routines available, but most don’t work. The stretches feel great, but they don’t change your range of motion. The Science of Stretching® approach designed by YOGABODY uses best practices from published exercise physiology research combined with time-tested protocols from yoga, dance, martial arts, and gymnastics to provide a solution that delivers predictable results.

The goal is to re-establish basic range of motion (ROM) not to learn contortion or pretzel poses. The benefits of a long, limber body go way beyond yoga poses: flexibility improves your posture, reduces pain, reduces the chances of injury and allows you to move like a younger version of yourself.

Liverpool, NY studio to open 2025.

"...ReBecca is one of the most delightful humans you’ll ever meet. Her kindness and warm spirit radiate into all she does. Her practice of yoga and meditation has allowed her to create beautiful pieces of jewelry and other accessories that are eye catching and on trend, but also meaningful.... I have never been to a mediation class before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. She did an amazing job explaining everything and how there is no “right way” to meditate and explained the differences between the various types of meditation. She then led us into an hour long class that went by in a blink.”

Curious about Meditation?

Meditation is a nurturing practice that enhances overall health and well-being. You do not need to hold any specific beliefs to experience the scientifically proven physiological stress reducing benefits. While not religious, many spiritual individuals find it deepens their connection to themselves, the world, and their creator. It often fosters a sense of inner harmony and strengthens bonds with others, as well as with what is often referred to as the unified field or collective/cosmic consciousness.

Some forms of meditation and prayer can be considered synonymous. Some may even say that prayer is talking to the universe and meditation is listening to it.

Regardless of your initial thoughts or experience with meditation, incorporating a practice into your routine can infuse your life with balance, peace, and resiliency. It is a simple yet powerful tool that requires no equipment or special location, making it a versatile practice for any lifestyle.

Trying anything new can seem intimidating, but meditation is a practice that can be tailored to fit your individual needs. There are various techniques to choose from, so you can find the one that resonates with you the most. You may prefer guided meditations or silent meditations, and there are also options for incorporating movement or music into your practice.

The benefits of meditation are numerous and well-documented, including:

  • strengthening the immune system

  • reducing stress and anxiety

  • improving focus, concentration and creativity

  • increasing self-awareness and mindfulness

  • promoting emotional health

It’s been proven to have a positive impact on physical health by lowering blood pressure and improving sleep quality, just to name a few.

ReBecca can help you discover which meditation practice(s) may be right for you, and provide guidance and support as you embark on your journey toward inner peace and balance. Remember, it is never too late to start incorporating meditation into your life, and the benefits will only continue to grow with consistent practice.
